As a team, the Queens captured the 2018 CCAA Women’s Golf National Championship with a collective score of 625, which was 16 strokes better than the second place Medicine Hat College Rattlers (641). The skilled Ponoka golfer also earned an individual silver medal (79, 79, 72 and 74) after remarkably scoring 304 over four rounds. The third-year student-athlete only trailed first place Emily Romancew (298), of the John Abbott Islanders, by a total of six strokes.

RDC Golf Head Coach Scott Bergdahl was thrilled with Shaye’s contributions. "Shaye led the way for us," he says. "She was confident and did everything that we expected from a team captain. She birdied two of the last three holes to secure individual silver."
