The Queens opened up game two of this doubleheader against the Rattlers with two goals in the first period. Forward Sarah Webster (Bachelor of Kinesiology) scored her first Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) goal 16 minutes into the first period. Webster would add another goal in the second period and an assist in the third to finish the game with three points. She was later awarded the player of the game. Head Coach Kelly Coulter explained the Queens overall an overall strong game, specifically in the second period when they added seven goals.

"We wanted to make sure we were working on execution this afternoon. We also had some new line combinations to get some players back into the lineup due to our January schedule being very relaxing when it comes to games played so it was nice to get everyone a chance to play."

The Rattlers player of the game was awarded to centre Claira Bansley (Bachelor of Commerce) in the loss.

The Queens will be back in action next week on Thursday as they head out on the road to battle with the Olds College Broncos with the puck dropping at 7 pm. As for the Rattlers, they will be back in central Alberta for a two-game road trip against the Broncos starting on Saturday at 7:45 pm.
