RDC Athlete of the Week for March 2, 2020

On Saturday, Stephen Rowley helped lead the Red Deer College Kings Indoor Track team to a first place standing at Running Room Grand Prix #2 in another heart-and-soul effort. The Kings totaled 56 team points, 19 ahead of the second place SAIT Trojans (37). In the first grand prix hosted at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre, the dedicated third-year (2:42.41) was first in the men’s 1,000 m final. Stephen, who is from Caroline, helped guide the Kings (1:40.49) to third spot in the 4 x 200 m relay. The Open Studies student (1:29.79) also finished fifth over 600 m, only 0.61 seconds out of third.

On March 21 and 22, Stephen and the team will compete at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Indoor Track Championships.
