Calgary, AB - The Red Deer College Kings match up extremely well against the SAIT Trojans. Winners of the past two conference matches and one exhibition showdown entering Friday's game, the Kings continued to play the Calgary squad tough, dropping the Trojans in four sets (25-22, 18-25, 25-23 and 25-16).

Six-foot-four outside hitter Patrik Toze led the RDC offence with 14 kills. He added six digs, three assists and two aces. Setter Thomas Wass contributed 40 assists, nine digs, four kills, one ace and one stuff block. Red Deer's Ben Holmes pounded ten kills. Carter Hills, from Legal, Alberta, had eight.

The Kings were effective from the service line, recording six service aces and only nine errors. 

Riley Grusing powered the Trojans with 21 kills. Tyler Latu'ila accumulated nine. 

SAIT had one service ace and 12 errors. 

The visitors held an edge at the net, accumulating eight stuff blocks. The Trojans had six. 

The Red Deer College Kings share third in the south with the Briercrest College Clippers (13-6), who have also played two more matches. Lethbridge College (15-3) sits in second. SAIT leads the south with 32 points but has also played the most matches (21).

On Saturday at 8:00 pm, the RDC Kings (13-4) and SAIT Trojans (16-5) will compete at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
