RDP Kings held scoreless a day after shutting out the Clippers in Saskatchewan

Caronport, SK, November 25, 2023 – Following a shutout victory of their own, the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings were held scoreless in their second game of the doubleheader against the Briercrest College Clippers on Saturday afternoon.

After being shut out last night, the Clippers finally were able to solve goaltender Evan Fradette (Open Studies) with a goal four minutes into the game.

In the dying seconds of the period, Briercrest extended their lead to take a two-goal lead into the second period.

The Clippers scored the lone goal in the period short-handed and went into the final intermission with a 3-0 lead.

Briercrest would add an empty goal and walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Kings after being shut out by RDP the night before.

Defence Tanner Skalruk (Open Studies) was named the player of the game for his impressive defensive efforts in the loss.

The Kings will have the next month and a bit off before returning to action in the new year on January 12 when they head to Camrose to battle with the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings.
