Edmonton, AB - The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings ran into a hot goaltender Friday evening.

NAIT's Player of the Game Jordan Papirny was in a groove, making 39 saves and leading his squad to a 4-1 decision over the Kings.

The RDP Kings hit the ice with energy and outshot their hosts 21-6 over the opening 20 minutes, but they couldn't solve Parpirny.

Papirny has an impressive resume with experience in the Western Hockey League, U Sports, and East Coast Hockey League.

After a scoreless first period, NAIT's Jared Legien struck on the power play late in the second period.

Legien added his second goal at 7:22 of the final stanza. Dylan Stewart put the Ooks up 3-0 less than seven minutes later.

With 4:47 left in the contest, Kings third-year centre Chance Longjohn finally solved Papirny. It was Longjohn's second goal and fourth point of the young season.

First-year Tucker Scantlebury picked up the lone assist.
