Thudium and Alalouf guide Kings to dominant shutout performance against Clippers

Caronport, SK - Three points from Chase Thudium along with a 24 save shutout performance from Nathan Alalouf helped the RDC King blank the Briercrest College Clippers 7-0. It was the Kings' third consecutive victory and fifth win in their past six.

Lynnden Pastachak, a third-year Kinesiology student, scored the Kings' lone goal in the first period. 

Chase Thudium and Tyrell Mappin added markers in the middle frame. 

Along with a shorthanded tally from Chance Longjohn, Donovan Lumb, Chase Thudium and Carter Wolski found the back of the net in the final stanza, wrapping up a 7-0 road victory.

Ten different Kings hit the scoresheet. Both Ryley Smith and Tyler Podgorenko contributed a pair of assists.

Podgorenko has averaged a point per game. In 24 games, the Instrumentation Engineering Technician student has six goals and 18 assists.

Chase Thudium was named the Kings Player-of-the-Game. The Business Administration General Management student recorded his team-high 15th goal and 31st point. 

The RDC Kings outshot the Clippers 47-24. Dan Dekoning and Billy Cawthorn shared the Briercrest College goaltending duties. 

The second place Kings (18-5-2-0) and Clippers (7-15-2-1) will meet again on Saturday at 2:00 pm in Saskatchewan.
