Kings' attempted comeback falls short against Broncos in Olds
Olds, AB – The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings made a late push but they couldn't close the gap against the Olds College Broncos. The Broncos picked up an 86-78 home decision.
The Kings were down by nine at the half (33-42). Adrian Deere had 20 of the Broncos' points after 20 minutes. Leduc's Brett Hochhausen came off the RDP bench and led his team with nine points.

The Kings knocked down 45 points in the latter half and at at one stage they were within three points. The Broncos used a 44 point second half, which included 26 points in the fourth quarter, to seal the win.
Tyronn King led Red Deer Polytechnic with 29 points. The fifth-year guard added six rebounds, three assists, and one steal over 28 minutes.

First-year Kirklan Hall received the Kings Player of the Game award, totaling 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Six-foot-seven forward Antonio Benjamin added eight points for the Kings. Stauffer's Kevin Szymanek recorded eight of the Kings' 31 rebounds.

Adrian Deere was recognized as the Broncos top performer. He accumulated 34 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Mobin Ali, Nick McKee and Austin Nzige-Nyambok scored 11 points each for Olds. McKee had 11 of the Broncos' 36 boards.
The Kings shot 38.2 per cent from the field and 75 per cent from the free-throw line.
The Broncos were 53.6 per cent efficient on their field goal attempts. They also had a strong effort from the free-throw line, sinking 87.5 per cent of their shots.
The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings (2-2) will tip-off against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers (0-2) on Friday, November 26 on the road at 6 pm.
