RDP Athletics Update (November 3, 2025)
This week, the RDP Queens Soccer team will host the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Soccer National Championship at Setters Place. The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings and Queens Cross Country Running teams will participate in the CCAA Cross Country Running National Championships. The Kings Hockey team will play the Concordia University Thunder while the Queens will face the Olds College Broncos. The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings and Queens Basketball squads will tip-off against the Thunder. Both volleyball teams will challenge the Ambrose University Lions.

CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship (Nov. 5-8)
Queens vs Mariners | Setters Place in Red Deer | Wednesday, November 5 | 5:30 pm
The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Soccer team will play the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Mariners in the quarterfinals at the CCAA Women's Soccer National Championship.
The RDP Queens (10-4-1) won bronze at the ACAC Championship. The VIU Mariners (10-1-1) earned gold at the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) Women's Soccer Championship.
The Queens' following game will depend on Wednesday's result.

CCAA Cross Country Running National Championships
Kings & Queens | Brookvale, Prince Edward Island | Saturday, November 8 | 12:30 pm
The RDP Kings and Queens Cross Country Running teams will challenge for medals at the CCAA Cross Country Running National Championships hosted by Holland College in Prince Edward Island.
Both the Kings and Queens won gold at the ACAC Championships.
Volleyball
Queens vs Lions | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, November 7 | 6 pm
The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Volleyball team (3-1) will host the Ambrose University Lions (3-2). The Queens, Lions and SAIT Trojans are tied for second in the ACAC Women's Volleyball South Division. Autumn Letwin, a fifth-year middle blocker on the Queens, ranks second in the league with 1.08 blocks per set.
Kings vs Lions | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, November 7 | 8 pm
The fourth seed RDP Kings Volleyball team (2-2) will play the first place Lions (4-1) at home. Bradley Noskey, a Kings' fifth-year libero, sits first in ACAC Men's Volleyball with 3.25 digs per set.
Hockey
Queens at Olds College of Agriculture &Technology | Thursday, November 6 | 7 pm
The top seed RDP Queens Hockey team (7-2) and fifth place Broncos (2-6) will meet in Olds. Tora Ward, a third-year goaltender on the Queens, sits fifth in the league with a 2.49 goals against average.

The Queens will play the Broncos at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
Kings at Concordia University of Edmonton | Friday, November 7 | 6:30 pm
The first place RDP Kings Hockey team (6-0) will face-off against the fourth place Concordia University Thunder (2-4) in Edmonton. Tanner Sklaruk, an All-Conference defenceman on the Kings, is tied for the most assists (seven) and points (nine) in ACAC Men's Hockey.

The Kings will compete against the Thunder in Red Deer.
Basketball
Queens at Concordia University of Edmonton | Friday, November 7 | 6 pm
The RDP Queens Basketball squad (1-3) will challenge the Concordia University Thunder (5-0) on the road. Avery Stypula, a Queens' second-year guard, has averaged 17.3 points per game, ranking fifth in the league.
Kings at Concordia University of Edmonton | Friday, November 7 | 8 pm
The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Basketball team (0-4) will tip-off against the Thunder (0-5) in Edmonton. The RDP Kings have averaged 36 rebounds per game.
