Camrose, AB - The Red Deer College Kings continue to roll. Six different Kings lit the lamp against the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings and the Kings recorded a 6 - 3 road victory for their third win in a row in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Hockey competition.

Tyler Podgorenko struck only 3:57 into the first period to give the Kings a 1 - 0 lead. Under three minutes later, Joseph Tambasco scored the equalizer but the Trevor Costello and Dylan Thudium beat Curtis Skip before the period was out (3 -1).

RDC's Parker Smyth propelled the Kings to a 4 -1 edge at 2:05 into the second period. Travis Mayan scored with the man advantage on the Vikings power play but Chase Thudium restored the Kings' three goal lead at 15:10.

Paul Lovsin brought Augustana within two goals in the third, but Scott Ferguson responded with 2:50 remaining and the RDC Kings earned a 6 - 3 victory.

Kings Head Coach Trevor Keeper appreciated the effort. "We played well and were disciplined tonight," he says. "We outshot the Vikings 42 - 29 and our special teams were good."

The RDC Kings only allowed one power play goal against.

There were several significant performances in the win. "Dylan Thudium, Tyrell Mappin and Trevor Costello had two points each and Parker Smyth scored his first ACAC goal," says Keeper. "Troy Trombley was solid and poised in net. He managed the game very well."

Trombley turned aside 26 out of 29 shots.

Dylan Thudium, a fourth-year Bachelor of Business Administration student, was named the Kings Player-of-the-Game. Travis Mayan received the nod for the Vikings.
