Bio

Esad Elkaz took over as a Head Coach of Queens Soccer program in June 2017.

Esad’s soccer career includes an extensive background. Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1997, he was an avid player in his native country of Yugoslavia (Bosnia Herzegovina). Locally he played with the Red Deer Rangers and the Bosnian Canadian Soccer Club. Esad is a major contributor to the development of youth soccer in Red Deer as proven over the past several years. He has been coach for the Red Deer Renegades (U12-U18) boys and girls, and has delivered the district program, the school of soccer and the Alberta Soccer Association Mini Stars.

Esad has been the Head Coach for the Alberta Summer Games Girls Soccer Team in 2014, 2016 and 2018.  He has also been the recipient of the Coach of the Year Award for the City of Red Deer in 2011.

Esad coached Renegades AMSL Women’s team for two seasons, also he led U-18 Girls Renegades Soccer team into winning two Provincial Gold and one Provincial Gold with U-14 Girls Renegades Team.

He possesses all levels of NCCP Coaching Certificate and Provincial B-licence .

Esad served on the board of RDCSA as a 1-st and  2-nd Vice president for 5  years.  Currently he is Technical Director with RDCSA.
