In the final 20 minutes of play, the Queens finally were able to solve Fox as forward Avery Lajeunesse (Bachelor of Education) found the back of the net after picking up the puck on the blueline and driving towards the net.

RDP would add an insurance marker a few minutes later. Forward Chloe Belter managed to tip home a shot from defence Jessica Bouffard (Business Diploma) for the Queens second of the game. Belter was later named the player of the game in the 2-0 victory.

Goaltender Izzy Palumbo (Bachelor of Business Administration) stopped all 26 shots in her fifth win of the season.

The Queens will be back on the road tomorrow afternoon as they clash with the Medicine Hat College Rattlers for a 4:15 pm puck drop.

A couple of minutes later, forward Dawson Leroux (Bachelor of Business Administration) was able to shovel his own rebound into the back of the net to come within one of the Trojans.

But that was the closest the Kings would get as they fell 7-6.

Associate Coach Cody Reynolds explained the team was just not defensively sound tonight.

"Our penalty kill committed a couple of errors which led to some powerplay goals for the Trojans. They are an opportunistic team and they took advantage of those errors committed on the man-advantage. We had a few defensive lapses in our own zone that we need to clean up before tomorrow night."

These two teams will be back at it tomorrow evening in Calgary for a 6:15 pm puck drop.
