Toze energizes Kings past Broncos in Olds

Olds, AB - The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings utilized a 13 kill performance from outside hitter Patrik Toze and dispatched the Olds College Broncos in straight sets (25-22, 25-20 and 25-20).

Kings setter Maddux Greves (23 assists) also found his middles Dillon Gauci (two kills) and Cody Boulding (four kills) to keep the Broncos' defence guessing. RDP first-year Brett Lower, who was named the Kings Player of the Match, recorded four kills, four digs, two block assists, one stuff block, one ace, and one assist.

Matheus Franca led the Broncos with 10 kills. Aidyn Phillips added six. Broncos setter Thomas Pugsley totaled 25 assists, six kills, six digs and one block assist. 

Phillip Sutherland was recognized as the Broncos Player of the Game. He had four kills, one ace, one assist, and one block assist. 

The RDP Kings recorded three service aces and the Broncos responded with five. 

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings (3-0) will host the Olds College Broncos (1-2) on Saturday, November 20 at 6 pm.
