In Medicine Hat, the Red Deer College Kings Volleyball team competed against the Rattlers, and some missed opportunities from the Kings created openings for the opposition. Medicine Hat College won in three sets to pick up the match victory.

The Rattlers took the first set 25 - 18, the second set 25 - 18 and the third set 25 - 14.

Thomas Wass was chosen as the player-of-the-game for the RDC Kings. The first-year setter from Adelaide, Australia totaled 13 assists, 4 digs and 2 kills. Evan Parchomchuk, a Kinesiology & Sport Studies student from Prince Albert, led the Kings with 6 kills. Adam Turlejski and Scott Irvine picked up 1 stuff block each. Alfred Dalevik and Vitor Pereiira contributed 8 kills each for the Rattlers.

Kings Volleyball Head Coach Aaron Schulha wasn't happy with the performance. "We were outmatched by a team that executed and wanted it more," said Schulha. "We hit almost as many balls out of bounds as we had kills, which means that the guys simply weren't looking after the ball."

The Kings will look to rebound in the rematch on Sunday. "Obviously, our preparation wasn't there based on what transpired in the match, so we will be better prepared tomorrow," said Schulha.

The Kings (5 - 2) will hit the court to face the Rattlers (6 - 1) on Sunday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. in Medicine Hat.
