In Olds, the Red Deer College Kings Volleyball team hit the court against the Olds College Broncos in their second match in as many days. Friday, the Kings swept the Broncos and today the result was the same with the RDC Kings winning in 3 straight sets.

The Kings won the first set 25-12, took the second set 25-11 and finalized the victory with a 25-17 win in the third set.

Kings Head Coach Aaron Schulha liked the start but saw a drop in the third set.

"I thought we did a solid job of coming out fast in the first and second set but not so much in the third," said Schulha.

Schulha gave the opportunity for many student-athletes to get onto the court and saw growth.

"We once again got a chance to play all of our athletes and I think that they did a good job with their energy," said Schulha. "Some of our more quiet players are working on coming out of their shells and providing more to the group, which will help us moving forward."

Ben Hankins was named the Kings player-of-the game. The Bachelor of Education student finished with 4 kills, 3 service aces, 2 digs and 1 block. Regan Fathers and Ben Holmes each had 6 kills. Contributing 22 assists, 5 service aces and 6 digs was Luke Brisbane.

The RDC Kings improve to 8-2 on the season and remain in first place in the ACAC Men's Volleyball South Division. Next for the Kings is a trip to Ambrose University to face the Lions Friday, Nov. 18 at 8:00 p.m. The RDC Kings will host Ambrose University Saturday, Nov. 19 at 8:00 p.m. in the RDC Main Gym.
