Calgary - The Red Deer College Kings were even with the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Soccer South Division leading SAIT Trojans (4 - 0 - 0) for over 62 minutes and as some RDC injuries set in, the Trojans capitalized four times in the final 27 minutes for a 4 - 0 win.

After two-thirds of the game was even, Armando Garcia eventually put SAIT up 1 - 0 in the 63rd minute. John Hutchinson added a second goal around six minutes later. In the final 20 minutes, Armando Garcia recorded his second strike of the game and Bernardo Rojas completed a 4 - 0 win.

Kings Soccer Head Coach Wade Groenewegen appreciated a strong effort in a tough game. "Part way through the first half, we had to pull an injured Theoren Gill which was unfortunate," says Groenewegen. "Not long after SAIT's first goal, Hugo Janssen was receiving medical attention and the Trojans struck again. Later in the game, we were playing a man short, fatigue started to set in and SAIT connected two more times."

Kings goalkeeper Jacob Hamilton, a Bachelor of Kinesiology student from Lacombe, made some key saves and turned aside six Trojans' shots.

The Head Coach saw several positives in the matchup against the Trojans squad. "Hugo Janssen worked hard and was named the player-of-the-game for us," says Groenewegen. "Thomas Favel and Colin Purnell also put in excellent performances in Calgary."
