Camrose, AB - The Red Deer College Kings controlled the game against the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings from start to finish. Backed by a 23 save performance from goaltender Nathan Alalouf, along with contributions from five different goal scorers, the Kings skated to a 5-0 shutout road win.

The contest remained scoreless until 3:40 of the middle stanza. After the Kings won a defensive face-off, right winger Lynnden Pastachak raced up the right side and connected with Kyle Salaway in the middle of the Vikings' zone. Salaway, a second-year RDC Electrical Engineering Technician student, dished on his backhand to the left and Tyrell Mappin quickly snapped it past the blocker of Curtis Skip. Minutes later, the visitors went up by a pair on the power play. Kyle Salaway set up Lynnden Pastachak, who was at the side of Augustana's net and quickly turned and fired it past Skip's glove.

The RDC Kings kept their foot on the gas in the third. With 6:41 left in the game, RDC went up 3-0. Lynnden Pastachak spotted Trevor Costello pinching in from the point and the talented defenceman beat Skip on the stick side. Minutes later, Carter Wolski joined the rush and snapped one under Skip's glove.
