Calgary, AB - It was a tale of two halves between the RDC Kings and St. Mary's University Lightning.

The Lightning led by 11 (43-32) at the half, but the Kings elevated their game in the latter two quarters. RDC outscored St. Mary's University 50-37 in the second half and earned an 82-80 road victory.

The final minute was jam packed with excitement. With the Kings leading by two (77-75), Red Deer's Spencer Klassen hit a jumper with 19 seconds remaining, pushing RDC up by four. The Kings would need that basket.

Seven seconds later, the Lightning hit a long three to pull within one (79-78). RDC's Tyronn King connected on one-of-two free-throws and St. Mary's University's Randall Mosca Maverez evened the contest 80-80 with a pair of successful shots from the line. After a timeout, Anthony Harper inbounded to Jouvon Edison who made no mistake off the glass (82-80).

The Kings applied a lot of pressure on the final possession and the Lightning's last shot bounced off the hoop and out. The Red Deer College Kings earned a hard-fought 82-20 victory.

Jouvon Edison was named the Kings Player-of-the-Game. Randall Mosca Maverez received the honour for the Lightning.
