RDC Curling teams go 8-0 on day two at Winter Regionals

Day two of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Winter Regionals is in the books, and the Red Deer College Curling teams couldn't have asked for a better day. Collectively the three RDC teams went a perfect 8-0 at Avonair Curling Club.
The Red Deer College Kings curled very well and had an unblemished 3-0 record on Saturday. At 9:00 a.m., the RDC Kings defeated Olds College 10-4. The Kings continued to execute their shots and they defeated Lakeland College 10-2 at 5:00 p.m. At 8:00 p.m., the RDC Kings defeated University of Alberta Augustana 7-3 to cap off a undefeated day.
The RDC Queens also had a strong day in Edmonton. The Queens defeated Lakeland College 8-3 at 9:00 a.m. on sheet five. At 12:00 p.m., the Queens defeated MacEwan University 7-2. The Queens defeated NAIT 5-2 at 8:00 p.m. and finalized a 3-0 day on the ice.
The RDC Mixed Curling team blanked Olds College 9-0 at 12:30 p.m. Then at 8:00 p.m., the RDC mixed team beat Lakeland College 7-2 to finish Saturday 2-0.
The RDC Kings and Queens have already qualified for the ACAC Curling Championships, Feburary 16 to 18, at Rose City Curling Club. The University of Alberta Augustana Vikings will host the event.
The RDC Kings will face Concordia University Sunday at 8:30 a.m. to finish the Winter Regionals. At the same time the Queens will hit sheet two to face the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings. The RDC Mixed Curling team will play Portage College.
