Kings Curling team remains perfect, all RDC teams earn wins on Saturday

Two days at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regionals wrapped up on Saturday, and all three RDC teams picked up wins with one more day to go at the St. Paul Curling Club. The Red Deer College Kings Curling team remained undefeated with a 2-0 record on the second day, the Queens went 2-1 and the RDC Mixed Curling team split their games.

The Kings began their day at 9:00 a.m. with a 7-6 win over Lakeland College in an extra end. The RDC Kings then downed Olds College 5-3 at 5:00 p.m. and retained an unblemished 4-0 record over two days to sit in top spot in the men's standings. 

After the RDC Queens dropped their morning game 5-4 to Olds College, they responded with a pair of wins. The Queens defeated the NAIT Ooks 6-4 and then soundly won 8-1 over Lakeland College. The RDC Queens Curling team pushed their overall record to 3-2 which places them in second spot.

The RDC Mixed Curling team dropped their morning game 12-0 to NAIT and then rebounded in the evening with a 9-1 victory over Lakeland College. Over both days of competition, the mixed team is even at 2-2 and they sit in fourth.
