Kings go undefeated on opening day at Fall Regionals, all RDC teams earn wins

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regionals kicked off on Friday at the St. Paul Curling Club, and all three RDC Curling teams picked up wins. 

The Red Deer College Kings earned a pair of victories on the first day of competition. At 2:00 p.m., the Kings defeated the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings 7-5. The RDC Kings downed the NAIT Ooks 9-3 at 5:00 p.m. to push their record to 2-0.

The RDC Queens finished the day 1-1. In an extra end, the MacEwan University Griffins edged the Red Deer College Queens 7-6 at 2:00 p.m. The Queens won in an extra end 6-5 over the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings at 8:00 p.m. 

The Red Deer College Mixed Curling team also finished 1-1 on Friday. At 5:00 p.m., Portage College defeated the RDC mixed team 9-2 but then the RDC squad responded with a 10-5 victory over Olds College at 8:00 p.m.
