Athlete of the Week for Feb. 20, 2018

Andrew made a positive impact on the ice this past weekend at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships in Camrose. The second-year student-athlete from Ponoka helped lead the Red Deer College Kings to an ACAC silver medal and was named to the All-Conference Curling team. The Business Administration General Management student will be participating in the 2018 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada Championships, March 24 to 28, in Leduc.

Athlete of the Week for Jan. 30, 2017

Andrew led the RDC Mixed Curling team to a 4-3 record at the Winter Regional and a 10-4 record over both regionals. The team finished 3rd in a highly competitive mixed division and advance to the ACAC Championships. This is Andrew’s 1st year with the team but he has already developed into a leader. His calm demeanor and positive attitude have played a huge part in the success of the team. He is one of the hardest workers on the team and has developed into one of the top 2nds in the mixed division.
