Day two is finished at ACAC Curling's Winter Regional

Day 2 of the ACAC Curling's Winter Regional wrapped up at the Avonair Curling Club in Edmonton. It was a more challenging day for all 3 Red Deer College Curling teams. 

At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, the RDC Men's Curling team continued their winning ways and defeated Lakeland College 5-1. The RDC men suffered their 1st loss of the season at 5:00 p.m. when Olds College defeated them 7-4. NAIT edged the RDC men 5-4 at 8:00 p.m. After 2 days, the Red Deer College Men's Curling team has a 3-2 record.

The University of Alberta (Augustana campus) defeated the Red Deer College Women's Curling team 7-3 at 9:00 a.m. At 5:00 p.m., Concordia University of Edmonton were defeated by the RDC women's team 8-6. NAIT defeated the RDC women 9-7 at 8:00 p.m. The Red Deer College Women's Curling team has a 2-2 record after 2 days on the ice.

At 9:00 a.m., Portage College defeated the Red Deer College Mixed Curling team 6-2. RDC rebounded at 5:00 p.m. and defeated U of A (Augustana) 9-1. Lakeland College won 7-3 over the RDC mixed team at 8:00 p.m. The Red Deer College Mixed Curling team has a 2-3 record after Saturday. 

Sunday, it will be an important final day at the Winter Regional as teams jockey for position. The results from the Fall and Winter Regionals will be combined to determine the final standings. The top 4 teams in each category (men's, women's and mixed teams) will qualify for the playoffs. All 3 RDC Curling teams are in action at 8:30 a.m.
