This week, the Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) Queens Volleyball team will host the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Volleyball National Championship. The RDP Kings Hockey team will begin the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men's Hockey semi-finals.

The results from Wednesday will determine Thursday's schedule at the CCAA Women's Volleyball National Championship.

Hockey

Kings vs U of A Augustana Vikings | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Friday, March 8 | 7 pm

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Hockey team will host the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings in game one of the best-of-three semi-final. During the regular season, the RDP Kings (15-9) placed second and the Vikings (14-10) ranked fourth in the standings. In four games head-to-head, each team won twice during regular season competition.

Over 24 games, the Kings had the most potent offence, averaging 4.29 goals per game. The Vikings tied for third in ACAC Men's Hockey with 3.88 goals.

In the other semi-final, the Briercrest College Clippers (17-7) will challenge the Concordia University Thunder (9-15).

Kings at U of A Augustana Vikings | Saturday, March 9 | 6 pm

In the second game, the RDP Kings will face-off against the U of A Augustana Vikings in Camrose.

Kings vs U of A Augustana Vikings | Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre | Sunday, March 10 | 7 pm

If necessary, the Kings will play the Vikings at home in the third and deciding game of the series.
