The Kings came out flat-footed in Calgary and the Trojans took advantage of that by scoring seven goals in the 90-minute match. Five of those goals came in the first half which averages out to one goal every nine minutes.

After a SAIT goal in the 54th minute, midfielder and captain Ajdin Sarcevic would score in the 59th minute on a penalty kick to make it 6-1 but the Trojans answered back with a goal late in the match to make it a 7-1 final. Sarcevic was named the player of the match.

The Polytechnic will have their home opener next Saturday as they take on the Ambrose University Lions at 2 p.m.

After defeating the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings on Saturday afternoon in their home opener, the Queens headed off to Calgary to take on the powerhouse of the South Division, the SAIT Trojans.

But in the first 22 minutes of the second half, SAIT would capitalize three consecutive times. Queens Grace Smith (Bachelor of Business Administration) would end that scoring streak with her first goal of the season to make it 4-1 which was the final score in the end. Smith was named the player of the match. The Bachelor of Business Administration athlete's goal late in the second half was only the second goal conceded by the Trojans.

The Queens next match will be next Saturday in Red Deer at 12 pm as they welcome the Ambrose University Lions.
