Germann records three points as Queens sink Broncos

Olds, AB - A three point game from third-year forward Neisha Germann helped the RDC Queens sink the Olds College Broncos 4-1 on the road.

Germann was involved early in the game. The Bachelor of Kinesiology student combined with Queens alternate captain Camryn Wallan to help set up the opening marker from Tyra Anderson. On the power play, Anderson scored her fourth goal of the season at 8:46.

Just over three minutes later, Neisha Germann benefited from a Kirsten Baumgardt pass, giving the visitors a 2-0 edge.

The two goal lead lasted until early in the final frame, when the Broncos Karli Frederick finally got one past Queens first-year goaltender Madison Fox.

Before the end of the period, RDC added a pair of goals.

Calgary's Mary Hirsch restored the Queens' two goal cushion, with her fourth of the season, about two minutes later. Avery Lajeunnesse and Jenessa Fournier had the assists.

The Queens weren't finished. Neisha Germann scored her second goal of the game and third point. Camryn Wallan and Sydnee Decorby set up the power play tally.

After 60 minutes, the RDC Queens finalized a 4-1 road victory.

The Red Deer College Queens' special teams were strong. They connected on two-of-seven power plays and killed off all five penalties.

Madison Fox, a Bachelor of Science Nursing student, had a strong outing, stopping 23 shots (0.958).
