RDC Athlete of the Week for Nov. 18, 2019

Captain Scott Ferguson played a significant role in the RDC Kings earning two wins this past weekend against the Portage College Voyageurs. The fourth-year player recorded five points, helping the Kings (8-1-1-0) maintain second place in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men’s Hockey standings, only one point behind the NAIT Ooks (9-1-0-0). In Friday’s 8-3 victory, Ferguson connected twice on the power play and he added an assist. Then in Saturday afternoon’s contest, the Bachelor of Business Administration General Management student helped lead the Kings to a 5-2 decision. Ferguson, who is from Sylvan Lake, added another power play marker, which turned out to be the eventual game winner. The respected leader also assisted on RDC’s opening goal. In 10 games, Ferguson has produced 11 points, placing the hard-working right winger in a tie for seventh in the league.

Congratulations Scott!

RDC Athlete of the Week for March 5, 2018

Scott Ferguson was a force on the ice and helped the RDC Kings defeat the Concordia University Thunder in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Men’s Hockey quarter-finals this past weekend. Friday, the second-year forward scored 2 goals and added 3 assists in a dominating 8-1 home victory. Scott was named the player-of-the-game for RDC. In the Kings’ 4-3 road win on Saturday, the Business Administration student picked up another assist and remarkably recorded 6 points in two games. Besides his contributions on the scoresheet, Scott worked hard all weekend. The former forward with the Spruce Grove Saints was strong on the Kings’ special teams. Scott had a goal and an assist on the power play, and was also an important part of the RDC penalty kill which was 100% efficient over both games.

Congratulations Scott!
