Greenshields and Queens sweep Rattlers on the road

Medicine Hat, AB - The Red Deer College Queens put together another strong performance and dropped the host Medicine Hat College Rattlers in straight sets (26-24, 25-22 and 25-18), earning a pair of weekend match victories on the road. 

Queens Player-of-the-Game, Alexandria Greenshields, was effective from the middle, recording nine kills, two stuff blocks and a pair of digs. 

RDC's Britt Davis totaled nine kills. Emma Holmes and Erin Neufeldt had seven kills each. Natalie Bloemen accumulated 26 assists, seven digs, three aces and three kills.

Shaya Suchy was recognized as the top Rattlers' player, picking up 21 digs, one assist and one kill. 

After 20 matches, the RDC Queens (12-8) have 24 points in the south standings, six points up on the fifth place Rattlers. The Red Deer College Queens and Ambrose University Lions have 24 points each. 

On Friday, February 1, the RDC Queens will host the second place SAIT Trojans (13-5) at 6:00 p.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
