Sidhu and Queens close out season against Clippers

Caronport, SK - The Red Deer College Queens held a two point lead at the half (40-38) but the Briercrest College Clippers put up 48 in the latter half, taking an 86-73 home decision. 

The Queens were backed by a tremendous outing from Harneet Sidhu. The talented first-year guard stacked up 23 points, two rebounds and two assists, while hitting nine of ten from the field. Sidhu, an Open Studies student from Surrey, was selected as the Queens' top performer.

Sylvia Smith-Gatson was recognized as the Clippers Player-of-the Game, totaling 19 points, three assists, three rebounds and three assists.

The RDC Queens were solid from the free-throw line, sinking 75 per cent of their attempts. The Clippers were 64.3 per cent successful. 

Wetaskiwin's Katie Ballhorn also hit double-digits for RDC. The Bachelor of Education Science student sank 13 points. Samantha Wade led the Queens on the boards with seven.
