Kings take back-to-back matches over Trojans

Calgary, AB - The SAIT Trojans had only suffered a pair of losses this season until they met the Red Deer College Kings. The Kings put forth another consistent effort and wrapped up a four set victory (25-21, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-20) over the Trojans, taking the weekend series in convincing fashion. 

Setter Thomas Wass was very good once again. The Bachelor of Arts student totaled 28 assists, three digs, three kills, two stuff blocks and one ace.

Carter Hills (11 kills), Ben Holmes (10 kills) and Patrik Toze (9 kills) were the third-year setter's favourite targets.

Six different RDC student-athletes recorded a service ace in the road win. 

Middle Mark DeWit led the defence at the net with four stuff blocks. The Kings had 12.

Tyler Latu'ila led the Trojans' offence with nine kills. 

On Friday, January 10, the RDC Kings (9-3) will be back in regular season action against the Lethbridge College Kodiaks. The two teams will meet at 8:00 p.m. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.
