Trojans take home game over Kings

Calgary, AB - The SAIT Trojans connected four times in the opening half and added a pair over the final 45 minutes, finalizing a 6-0 home win over the visiting Red Deer College Kings.

The Trojans struck quickly with two goals in the opening three minutes. Before the end of the half, Zach Michaud and Armando Garcia pushed SAIT ahead 4-0.

SAIT's Bradley Atherton and Armando Garcia added to the lead in the 50th and 65th minute, and the home team wrapped up a 6-0 decision. 

Kings goalkeeper Jacob Hamilton, a Bachelor of Kinesiology student, made nine saves. Marko Ilich turned aside two RDC shots. 

Second-year defender Brandon Fedoruk was recognized as the Kings top performer with a strong effort. Bradley Atherton was selected as the Trojans Player-of-the-Game.

Two regular season games remain for the third place RDC Kings. On Saturday, October 19, the Red Deer College Kings (6-3-1) will host the second place Lethbridge College Kodiaks (7-1-2) at 2:00 p.m. Then in the last regular season game, the Kings will compete against the Medicine Hat College Rattlers (4-4-2) at RDC Main Field on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
