RDC Athlete of the Week for Sept. 9, 2019
Calgary’s Kyle Bett played an integral role helping the Kings Soccer team earn four of a possible six points in the standings this past weekend. The third-year played a full 90 minutes in both games and was very effective, especially in the defensive zone. The Kinesiology General student was instrumental in preserving the 0-0 tie while down a man against the Rattlers on Saturday.
In Sunday’s thrilling 3-2 victory in Lethbridge, Kyle played a well-rounded game, contributing on both sides of the ball. Besides another stalwart performance on defence, Kyle took a pair of shots and assisted on the Kings’ opening goal, which was a marker from Matthew Elphick. For his standout effort, Kyle was selected as the Kings Player-of-the-Game.
