Calgary, AB - The SAIT Trojans led the RDC Kings 46-29 at the half and despite being outscored 43-41 in the second half, the Trojans picked up an 87-72 decision.
The win comes after SAIT needed a last-second three-pointer to down the Kings on their home floor, 102-99, on Friday night.
Spencer Klassen had another big night for the Kings, scoring 33 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. Khurram Sultan chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Malik Smith was strong on the boards, totaling 11.
As a group, the Kings were the more effective rebounding (46-29) team.
Fourth-year John Smith scored 12 of his team-high 22 points in the second quarter for SAIT.
On Friday, January 18, the fifth place RDC Kings (5-7) will travel to Medicine Hat and challenge the Rattlers (8-5) at 8:00 p.m.
SAIT (12-0) will return to action next weekend for one game against the host Lethbridge College Kodiaks (8-4) on the same night.
