This week in RDC Athletics

This week the Red Deer College Soccer teams will play a pair of games. The Kings and Queens Basketball teams will participate in several exhibition games. The RDC Queens Volleyball team will partake in a non-conference tournament and the Red Deer College Cross Country Running team will race in the Willamette Charles Bowles Cross Country Invitational in Oregon.

Here is a summary of what is happening this week in RDC Athletics: 

Queens Soccer | Saturday, October 5 | 12:00 p.m. | U of A Augustana

The RDC Queens Soccer team (2-4-0) will play the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings (4-3-0) in Camrose. This should be an exciting game as only one goal separated the two groups this past Sunday.

Stettler's Alisha Coules leads the Queens with six goals and two assists in five games. The Bachelor of Science Nursing student has cashed in on 54.5 per cent of her shots.

The sixth place Queens will look to gain some ground in the standings in their last six games.

The Soccer Queens (2-4-0) will challenge the Ambrose University Lions (0-6-0) at home.

 

Kings Soccer | Saturday, October 5 | 2:00 p.m. | U of A Augustana

The Red Deer College Kings Soccer team (4-1-1) will compete against the U of A Augustana Vikings (2-5-0) on the road. The Kings occupy second place in the south, only two points behind the Lethbridge College Kodiaks (5-1-0). The Vikings share fifth with the Olds College Broncos.

Kyle Bett, a Kinesiology General student, has six assists, sharing the league lead with Concordia's Kenny Johnson.

The RDC Kings (4-1-1) will entertain the Ambrose University Lions (0-6-0).

The RDC Kings & Queens will participate in the Willamette Charles Bowles Cross Country Invitational in Salem, Oregon. The Willamette Bearcats will host the non-conference event.
